Seasons End…

My big boy

As our canine family members age, all sorts of challenges appear that we may never have anticipated when they came to us as puppies…incontinence, mobility issues, dementia, disease, to name a few. We cope on a daily basis with walking support harnesses, diapers, indigestion, fear, fatigue…and come to the conclusion, hopefully, that they are not here for us, but with us, for a much shorter time than we’d like. It’s our responsibility as their loving humans to determine when their quality of life is diminished to the point that it’s time to allow them, or help them, to cross the Rainbow Bridge. We’re dealing with that transition in the Puppy Pack right now, and it’s the hardest and most rewarding time of our lives.

  1. Prayers for you all. It’s so hard when one’s aged pet has health issues & body is wearing out (I’m dealing with an aged diabetic cat now) Did you ever get a ramp for the stairs you said you have? (my house backs up to the dog park & I see you all walking sometimes 😁)
